A large turn out of members, including President Esther Munnelly and Lady Captain Dympna O’Donnell welcomed them to the club. Accompanying them on the Mayo leg was former Mayo GAA footballer Conor Mortimer.

Before departing for their next golf club in County Silgo, the golfers were presented with a cheque for €440, the proceeds of the Swinford Golf Club Scramble that was played on the previous evening. On this unique Golf Challenge, the three golfers raised over €20,000 for a very worthy cause.
