Did you know:
This is a very extensive fishery with over nine miles of fishing. It extends upstream from Bleanmore Bend on the left bank, past Ballylahan Bridge to below Cloongulane Bridge and on the right bank from Burren Hill upstream past Ballylahan Bridge to the car park at Oldcastle.
This water gives excellent salmon fishing especially in May and June. There are several good fly stretches and a designated FLY ONLY from the Gub upstream for approx. 2.5 miles to Geraghty’s.
