Siamsa Sraide 2017

Siamsa Sraide 2017 was a fantastic few days, the sun shone and the craic was mighty.
Lots of thanks have to go to the organising committee and especially Brid and Brendan for all their hard work. Thanks to Diane and Ann & Alan for all the work that went into the childrens events.
Thanks to all our social media promoters for all the great pictures and videos.
Credit to Swinford Tidy Towns and Mayo County Council for all their work in keeping the town so well.
There are many many people who helped out during the festival and the last few months. Everything went smoothly due to all that hard work.
The music was of the very best, to all the acts that performed on the big stage and to the musicians that played in the pubs and hotel a great thanks.
We hope you all enjoyed yourselves and will tell all your friends about Swinford and Siamsa Sraide 2018.
Remember Swinford Comhaltas have a weekly traditional Music session every Thursday Night throughout the year and there is live music every weekend in Gateway Hotel and Quinns Bar. There are regular events in Swinford Cultural Centre with a Country Market on the first Saturday of each month and craic to beat any place in the world every night in all the pubs of Swinford and Killasser and Midfield.
Goodbye for now and see you all again in August 2018. Feel free to share and like all the videos and pictures on the Facebook page.

Swinford Tidy Towns

The National Tidy Towns competition is underway. The Adjudicators can arrive in Swinford at anytime. We are asking everyone to help us out, in any small way. Add a window box or hanging basket, pick any weeds that maybe growing, even along the kerb. If you see any litter, pop it in a bin. Every small thing helps us greatly. Huge thanks to everyone who has helped out in any way, it makes such a big difference. Its great to hear such positive feedback from tourists and visitors to Swinford

Swinford Tidy Towns would like to thank all our volunteers who were out morning and evening during the Siamsa Sraide festival. We would especially like to thank the Swinford staff of Mayo Co Co who made sure all the streets were swept clean and all the bins emptied bright & early every morning. We’d like to congratulate all the Siamsa Sraide committee for such a hugely successful festival again this year, and thank them for all their continued cooperation with us here in the tidy towns.
