Síamsa Sráide 2018 Launch Night

The Síamsa Sráide Street Festival launch night will take place in Campbell’s Lounge Bar on Friday June 15th at 9.30pm,
The programme will be launch by Mayo Person of the year 2018 Sister Maureen Lally.
Music & refreshments provided, all are welcome.

Credit Union News

The next Swinford Credit Union Members Draw takes place in the Gateway Hotel Swinford on Thursday 14th June at 9.30pm. All members are invited to attend. If you are signed up for the draw you are automatically included if not call in and sign up closing date for this draw is Saturday 9th June. T& C apply.

Swinford Indoor Country Market

Swinford Indoor Country Market is celebrating its 4th birthday on Saturday June 2nd from 9.30 -2pm in the Cultural Centre, Swinford.
To Celebrate they are hosting a Children’s Arts & Crafts workshop and Glitter Nails from the fabulous Megan from “Makeup with Megan” this will be held from 11.30-1.30.
The monthly market is proud to regularly boast a wide range of locally sourced produce. They have a fabulous range of breads, cakes, plants, vegetables, photography, Aloe Vera, food and a huge range of crafts.
This month the market will introduce some new stall holders with excellent products and crafts. You can relax and have lunch or a coffee in the railway cafe after your shopping.

Swinford Agricultural Show

The Swinford Agricultural Show committee wish to sincerely thank all our 2017 Financial Sponsors (listed here) for their generosity which contributed to the success of the Show. Thank you also to the many businesses, who provided very generous vouchers, donated spot prizes, products and
assisted with our fundraising throughout the year especially, The Gateway Hotel, The Davy Family, and Tesco for the use of their premises.

We also sincerely thank the Heeran Family who provide us with the venue for the show and also Cathal Kelly (Gateway Hotel) for our meetings and his generous hospitality. Thanks to O’Hara’s Bakery and Kennedys Londis for their contribution to our catering needs on show day. Thank you also to the many people who give of their time voluntary throughout the year and on show day to support the show. We hope you all enjoyed the day and that 2018, which is our 30th Show will grow even bigger with the help of the local community. New Sponsors and helpers for 2018 Show always welcome. This year, the show will be held a week later than usual on a Sunday, we have changed our Showday to SUNDAY the 26th August 2018, please support.

Healthcare Support Training

Mayo North East is organising a free Healthcare Support Training Course in Swinford for unemployed people or people in part-time employment. On successful completion of the course learners will have gained a Healthcare Support QQI Level 5 Major award. Skillnet eligibility criteria will apply and Garda Vetting must be successfully completed.
Training will commence one day per week in June 2018 and conclude in December 2018.
