The Astro-turf will enhance the facility and will open new opportunities for the community. The 80m X 48m pitch will have a net divide that will allow for two 5 a side soccer cross pitch. The full surface will be used for Gaelic training and warm ups.
The Astro Development will be open to all and will be focused on Ladies Gaelic Football. It will cost €230,000 to complete and will be funded by the Swinford Lotto Committee and Mayo North East Leader Project.
