Swinford Indoor Country Market

Swinford indoor country market is back next weekend on Saturday April 7th from 9.30 -2pm in the Cultural Centre, Swinford.
The monthly market is proud to regularly boast a wide range of locally sourced produce.
They have a fabulous range of breads, cakes, plants, vegetables, photography, Aloe Vera, food and a huge range of crafts.
This month again the market plan to introduce some new stall holders with excellent products and crafts.
You can relax and have lunch or a coffee in the railway cafe after your shopping.

Heartfulness, Relaxation and Meditation

Heartfulness, Relaxation and Meditation will be held on Monday April 16th 2018 at 7pm in the Parochial House Swinford. Free and open to all over 16 years.

Swinford & District Gardening Club

On Tuesday 17th April, at 8.30pm in the Gateway Hotel, Roy Mortimer will give a talk on growing your own potatoes and vegetables. He will also demonstrate his very successful and proven method of growing potatoes in containers. It will be of interest to all those with or without a garden.

Are you aged 50+? Want to get, or keep Fit whilst having Fun and learning how to Manage your Weight? Then we’ve got something to tell you…
Swinford Boxing Club is delighted to offer the first of many Training Programs specifically tailored to Groups in our community. In association with the Irish Athletic Boxing Association and the HSE, we present
“Fighting Fit”…

a FREE 8 week programme as part of our Healthy Boxing Bodies project.

Fighting Fit is a fun based boxing session for both WOMEN and MEN aged 50+. The sessions are based on fundamental body movements and manageable exercise for this specific group. This program helps with a changing body composition, aiding mobility, and helping you to keep muscle mass resulting in good body posture throughout life. It is a program that will help manage weight gains encountered as metabolism slows.

The Program will run initially on Monday evenings for a 2 month period beginning in May. In association with the HSE, the program will also include: a Health Risk Assessment, Nutritional Advice and a Health Seminar for all participants.

Killasser Community Centre

KCC 50/50 draw took place on Easter Sunday night in Franks Place, March winner was Brendan Tansey who won €600 with Francis Hegarty and Yvonne Moore winning €20 spot prize.

Swinford GAA 50/50 Draw

This weeks draw was held in Horkans and Michael O’Neill of Sweetwell won €568. The winning envelope was sold in Melletts.
Envelopes are available in most business premises and online through
