New Years Day in Swinford
2019 is going to be a great year of Celebration in Swinford as we mark 250 years and more.
Join us on New Years Day for a family friendly event to mark the new year and look forward to a fantastic year ahead.
Local children will release lanterns to celebrate the occasion and there will be entertainment with Local DJ John Carter. Join us from 4pm at Swinford Cultural Centre.

Swinford The Beginning
Local historian Michael Comer will give a talk on the origins of Swinford Town and how it came about. Starting at 8pm in the Gateway Hotel on Thursday 3rd January.
This promises to be a very interesting night and is part of the Swinford 250 celebrations
Nollaig na mBan
Included in the calendar of ‘Swinford 250 and more’ is the celebration of Nollaig na mBan (Women’s Christmas) on Saturday, 5th January 2019 in the Gateway Hotel, Swinford. A lady’s night of fun which will include a sit-down meal, music, dancing and spot prizes. Tickets are priced at €30 per person.
