Mad Hatters Tea Party
This years Mad Hatters Tea Party will take place in the Mount Falcon Hotel on Thursday 23rd October. It was a lot of fun last year and there was some great outfits and hats on show! The Tea Party which starts at 2pm sharp will be “ticket only”. Make sure to get your tickets early as tickets are selling fast! A great evening of fun and dance and don’t forget your Hat.
All proceeds in aid of Local Palliative Care Services.
Tickets are on sale from the Hospice Shop Swinford.
Swinford Gardening Club
The next gardening club meeting is on Tuesday 28th October at 8pm in the Gateway Hotel. Niall Murphy will be giving a talk and demonstration on basket weaving. There will also be a raffle and a sale of garden items/produce.
€5 for non members or you can become a member for €12 per year.
New members are always welcome.

Swinford GAA Strength & Conditioning Seminar
Swinford GAA Club will host a Strength & Conditioning/Coaching Seminar on Friday 24th October in the Gateway Hotel from 7pm to 10pm.
Liam Moffitt the physio to the Mayo team will be the main speaker along with other key note speakers. All coaches are asked to attend and any interested players and parents are more than welcome to attend.

Swinford.ie would like to congratulate the Swinford Junior team on winning the County B Championship Final replay in MacHale Park last sunday, beating Westport 1-12 to 0-10. Well done to all involved.

Culmore National School Car Boot & Bake Sale
As featured in our previous article here, Culmore National School will be holding their Car Boot and Bake sale on Sunday 19th October from 12noon to 6pm in the Cultural Centre, Swinford.

The AGM of the Swinford Mayo 24 Scouts was held on Tuesday 7th October in the Amenity Park. The following were elected officers for the coming year -:

Midfield Group Water Scheme
Midfield Co-operative Group Water Scheme Ltd advises all shareholders to return any correspondence from Irish Water stating that they are part of a private group water scheme and that they are served by their own septic tank. Failure to return this correspondence could result in shareholders being billed by Irish Water for services.
Swinford GAA 50/50 Draw
This week’s 50/50 draw was worth €1035 and was won by Jackie O’Brien of Meelick.
The next draw will take place in The White House, Swinford on Tuesday 21th October.
Draw envelopes are widely available in Swinford’s shops and businesses and you can now play online.
