Swinford Killasser Ladies GFCs Claire wins Australian Championship
Congratulations to former Swinford Killasser Ladies GFC player, Claire Tierney. Last week Claire represented Western Australia at the All Australia Championship in Melbourne. Claire plays her club football for Southern Districts Gaelic Football & Camogie Club in Perth. She was selected to play for the state team earlier in the summer. The championship was played over four days with all the Australian state teams participating. Claire’s Western Australia team enjoyed a very successful Championship and went on to win the Plate with a fabulous one point triumph over Victoria in the final. Claire can be seen on Swinford.ie proudly holding the Championship trophy in the black and amber jersey of her Western Australian team.
