Under 13:
Our Under 13 have progressed to the final of Divison 3 after a convincing win against Aghamore on Monday 5th by 5-12 to 2-9. We play our neighbours Kiltimagh in the final, on a date to be scheduled.
Senior League Division 1C
A disappointing evening at Robert McCallion Memorial Park in our penultimate league game of the year. We were beaten by 1-14 to 4-14 by Mayo Gaels. With 7 minutes to go there was only two points between the teams after we had fought very hard to get back into the game but that was the end for us as Mayo Gaels scored 2 goals and a point to win by 9. Swinford scorers: Liam Moran 0-6, Kevin McShea 1-1, Jack McDonnell 0-4, Kevin McDonagh, James Devaney, Michael Walsh 0-1 each. Match report at swinfordgaa.ie
East Mayo Under 16 B Final
In a very one sided game we won the East Mayo B trophy on a scoreline of 8-16 to 0-7. Well done to all the lads who put in a great effort throughout the year and to the management team under John Dunne.
Senior League Division 1E
The game petered out for an easy win for the visitors Kilfian but not before we put it up to with a huge effort in the second half. Kilfian led by 2-3 to 0-4 at half time with their second goal very disputed. It appeared for all the world to see as if the ball never crossed the line. We fought back to within three points but in the last ten minutes Kilfain outscored us 1-5 to 0-1 to win on a full time score of Swinford 0-8 Kilfian 3-9.Match report at swinfordgaa.ie
