Swinford’s Active retirees took the high road through the trees at the Forest Park

Members of Swinford’s Active Retirement Group took advantage of the recent fine weather for a day trip to Carrick-on-Shannon where lunch in the town was followed by a visit to Lough Key Forest Park.

The group meets every Monday afternoon at the Gateway Hotel – except for Bank Holidays and a break for July and August – and enjoys all sort of activities and many outings like the one to Lough Key, evening racing in Ballinrobe and other events chosen by the members. It is part of a network of groups throughout the country and they often get together for joint events in each region.

Thanks to Secretary Don Miller for this post – you will find his number in our Directory of Clubs and he will be happy to chat to anyone interested in joining this very active group.
