1st – 3rd March – Swinford Historical Conference

Venue: Gateway Hotel Swinford

Cost: €30 (include Lunch)

Time: Friday 8.00 p.m. – Welcome to the Conference

Saturday 9.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. – Conference all day.  List of speakers to be added soon.

Sunday 11 a.m. – Historical Walk – Michael Comer will conduct a walking tour through Swinford to the different historical landmarks and give a description of the history and significance to the growth of Swinford.  See FB page below.


9th March – Press Night

The Swinford250 committee will host members of the press and radio to inform them of the events organized for the year.

Clubs and Organizations

Are you new to Swinford or do you live in the Swinford area and would like to get involved with a club or organization.  Great way to make new friends and enjoy an activity.  Swinford has a lot to offer in this area.  We will be inviting members from the different clubs and organizations to come to the Gateway Hotel.  This event will be run in conjunction with the Press Night on the 9th of March.  Each organization will have a stand and you can meet and speak with the different representatives to find out the information you would like to ask and join up on the night if you like.


15th – 17th March – Swinford St. Patrick’s Festival Weekend

16th March – Swinford Drama Group presents “For Better For Worse”

Time: Doors open at 8.00 p.m. – Show starts 8.30 p.m.

17th March – Swinford St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Theme Past, Present and Future

Venue: The Streets of Swinford at 3.00 p.m.

“People are invited to dress up in a period of their choice” Please participate to make the day a fun family event.
