U14s Win Feile
Swinford Killasser Ladies GFC U14 girls are the 2015 Connacht Division 1 Feile Champions. This is the first year that this one day Feile Tournament has been held; and the girls played magnificently to become champions of Connacht. The best U14 Club teams from Connacht and West Leinster competed for this title and Swinford Killasser proved too good for all the other contenders. Swinford Killasser defeated Corofin, Parke and Moate to qualify for the final, which the girls won by 2-04 to 0-03 against a much fancied Claregalway team. After the Final, Orla Mullaney collected the winner’s trophy from Geraldine Giles from the National LGFA. We congratulate the girls for their brilliant performances on the field, and we also congratulate the whole panel for the exemplary manner in which they represented our Club. Swinford Killasser LGFC were complimented by both referees and Croke Park officials for the excellence in football and sportsmanship throughout the day. Well done girls. U14 Girls play Double County Semi-finals Wednesday
U14s Win Feile
Our U14 girls return from their heroic victory on Saturday and will have to quickly get their feet back on the ground; as they face into two County Semi-finals at Swinford Amenity Park today, Wednesday July 1st. First up is the Division 3 Semi-final at 6pm against Castlebar. This will be followed by the Division 1 Semi-final at 7.30 against Knockmore. We wish our entire U14 panel the best of luck as they bid to reach two County Finals.
