Come along to the Official Launch of “The Rose in the Heather” CD in the Gateway Hotel
On Saturday 6th December at 9pm in the Gateway Hotel, Swinford, the Michael Davitt Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann will host the official launch of a new CD of traditional music entitled “The Rose in the Heather”. This CD showcases some of the finest and varied selections of the music of South Sligo.
Featured on the CD are the cream of traditional musicians including Harry McGowan, Jimmy Murphy, Michael Loftus, James Murray, Gregory Daly, James McDonagh, Ollie Ross and Francis Gaffney with Mary Frain, Maeve O’Dowd and Antoinette Byrne and a new generation of musicians, namely Ronan McDonagh, Joseph O’Dowd, Adrian and Keith Frain.

This talented and accomplished group will perform music and song from the CD and they will also be joined by other musicians from near and far.
