Healthcare Support Training
Mayo North East is organising a free Healthcare Support Training Course in Swinford for unemployed people or people in part-time employment. On successful completion of the course learners will have gained a Healthcare Support QQI Level 5 Major award. Skillnet eligibility criteria will apply and Garda Vetting must be successfully completed. Training will commence one day per week in June 2018 and conclude in December 2018. Saturday Evening Mass Choir
The Saturday evening choir is looking for new members. Adults or teenagers with an interest in singing or playing music are invited to join the choir. Call up to the gallery any Saturday evening 6.30pm or contact Marie on 0872805222.
Heartfulness, Relaxation and Meditation
Heartfulness, Relaxation and Meditation will take place on Monday May 21st 2018 at 7pm in the Parochial House, Swinford.
Free and open to all over 16 years.

Mayo Litter action League
The 2018 Mayo litter action league April results for Swinford have now been published. The Mayo Litter Action league competition runs from April to September. Judging in Swinford took place sometime between Monday the 9th of April and Monday the 30th of April. Each town and village in the competition is awarded €1,000 to begin with. Each item of litter seen on the day of judging costs €1, which is then deducted from your starting fund. The more items of litter found, the higher the cost, and the more we loose!

Barnacogue N.S Cash for Clobber
Barnacogue N.S. will be organizing a number of fundraising initiatives over the coming months, to raise much needed funds towards the development of a safe car park & set-down area for the school.
A ‘Cash for Clobber’ collection takes place on Friday 18th May. We would welcome any of your unwanted, used clothes, bags, belts, shoes, household textiles, tea towels, cushion covers, curtains & bed linen (no duvets or pillows).
You can drop your clobber (in bags) into the school between 9.30am & 3.00pm, Monday to Friday before 18th May.
What a great opportunity to clear out your wardrobes while helping the school!

KCC 50/50 draw took place on Saturday night in Franks Place, April winner was Caroline Tully who won €600 with John Maloney and Una Ruddy winning €20 spot prize.
