The Síamsa Sráide Street Festival launch night will take place in Campbell’s Lounge Bar on Friday June 15th at 9.30pm,
The programme will be launch by Mayo Person of the year 2018 Sister Maureen Lally.

Swinford Tidy Towns
We need your help
Swinford Tidy Towns urgently needs volunteers to keep the town and its approaches looking good. We want to know if there are any ideas out there on how to improve the town’s appearance and who is willing to help us build on the good work done so far.
Lots has been done putting out colourful displays in planters and erecting hanging baskets, but they all need looking after if we are to keep on improving our score every year in the National Tidy Towns competition.
The Swinford Tidy Town Committee will be holding a public meeting in the Gateway on Thursday June 14th at 8pm – bring your ideas – bring a friend – come along and have your say.

Swinford Agricultural Show
The Swinford Agricultural Show committee wish to sincerely thank all our 2017 Financial Sponsors (listed here) for their generosity which contributed to the success of the Show. Thank you also to the many businesses, who provided very generous vouchers, donated spot prizes, products and
assisted with our fundraising throughout the year especially, The Gateway Hotel, The Davy Family, and Tesco for the use of their premises.
We also sincerely thank the Heeran Family who provide us with the venue for the show and also Cathal Kelly (Gateway Hotel) for our meetings and his generous hospitality. Healthcare Support Training
Mayo North East is organising a free Healthcare Support Training Course in Swinford for unemployed people or people in part-time employment. On successful completion of the course learners will have gained a Healthcare Support QQI Level 5 Major award. Skillnet eligibility criteria will apply and Garda Vetting must be successfully completed.
Training will commence one day per week in June 2018 and conclude in December 2018.
