There will be Health Screenings (Blood pressure, pulse, and waist circumference checks) at Swinford library from 4.30pm to 6.30pm on Tuesday February 27th.
This will be followed by a talk by specialist dietician Suzanne Seery.

Swinford Gardening Club
Paula Cannon who works on the Edible Landscape Project on the Great Western Greenway will speak on her work on February 27th in the Gateway Hotel at 8pm.
The Project is a community-based growing initiative where fruit and nut trees, shrubs, root and leaf vegetables, wild herbs and mushrooms are planted along the Great Western Greenway.
It will be of special interest to gardeners, farmers, all those who support Tidy Towns, Community Gardens, School Gardens and care of the Environment initiatives.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
Non members pay €5 entry fee.
Swinford Indoor Country Market
Swinford indoor country market is back on Saturday March 3rd from 9.30 -2pm in Swinford Cultural centre.
The monthly market is proud to regularly boast a wide range of locally sourced produce. Swinford Indoor Market have a fabulous range of breads, cakes, plants, vegetables, photography, Aloe Vera, food and a huge range of crafts.
This month again there will be some new stall holders with excellent products and crafts, and you can relax and have lunch or a coffee in The Railway Café after your shopping.
Humbert Duathlon
The Swinford Triathlon Club are hosting Series 4 of Ireland West Duathlon Series this Sunday February 25th 2018 at 10am. This is an open event and involves a 4.5 km run followed by a 20km cycle and ending with a 3km run. The course is flat and is suitable for both the novice and the more experienced competitor. If you do not feel like doing the full event, there is always the option of participating in a relay team. Further details relating to course and entry are available from www.swinfordtriathlon.com. Swinford Underage Development Programme Fundraiser on Saturday 3rd March in The Three Counties, Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago. The purpose of the development programme is to pay for a full time individual to support GAA development in all the local schools.
Raffle on the night to include Signed All Ireland Galway Hurling Jersey, two All-Ireland Hurling Final tickets, Signed Mayo Jersey and more prizes on the night.

Jack Feeney Concert
Celebrate the St. Patricks holiday weekend by attending the unique Jack Feeney (tenor) commemorative concert which will be held on the eve of St Patricks Day Fri 16th March in the Gateway Hotel, Swinford. The renowned singer Seosamh Ó Flaithearta of Cantóirí na Taibhdheirce, Galway, will be accompanied on piano by Tom Cullivan, a former chairman of the Association of Irish Composers. This concert will showcase many classic songs already made popular in Irish & English by both performers, as well as many favourites sung by Swinfords famous tenor Jack Feeney. This concert is being organised by the Síamsa Sráide Committee in anticipation of celebrating its 35th year in 2019 since this festival was inaugurated in 1984. Historical, Heritage & Cultural preservation is very much valued by visitors to the annual festival. To this end the name of our famous tenor is worth keeping alive.
