Swinford Mock Wedding
Swinford Mock Wedding in aid of Mayo Down Syndrome West Regional Centre and Playground in Swinford is on Saturday 14th March in the Cultural Centre and Gateway Hotel. The marriage is between Siobhan Campbell and Douglas Kelly.
Tickets are now sold out for the ceremony and meal. Tickets for the afters available from The Whitehouse Bar and Gateway Hotel at €20 each.

Healthcare Support Training
Mayo North East is organising a free Healthcare Support Training Course in Swinford for unemployed people or people in part-time employment. On successful completion of the course learners will have gained a Healthcare Support QQI Level 5 Major award. Garda Vetting must be successfully completed. Swinford & District Gardening Club
Swinford & District Gardening Club will hold its next talk on February 25 at 8.30pm in the Gateway Hotel. Highly experienced Horticulturist Ashling Kilcullen will speak on Spring in the Garden. Her talk will deal with planting flowers and early vegetables. Ashling will also answer questions on gardening matters at the end of the talk.
All are welcome to attend. Non members €5.

Michael Davitt CCE (Swinford Comhaltas) music, singing, dancing and comhrá gaeilge classes continue every Saturday in Swinford NS from 12 pm. New pupils are always welcome. 2 Yogalates Classes Run Every Monday In The Cultural Centre Swinford.
First at 1pm Lunchtime Yogalates, this is a 45 minute Class. The second is Yogalates By Candlelight at 7pm and runs for 1 Hour. Both Classes are For Beginners so join anytime and Classes are Pay As You Go. We start with Yoga Poses so you can start To Heal and Breathe Then Pilates For Strengthening Your Core, then we move on To Stretching To Renew Your Muscles and Help with Posture and Finish with Relaxation. Swinford Go Getters
Swinford Go Getters are a social club which meet the second Thursday of each month in The Cultural Centre, Swinford from 10.30am to 12.30pm. We have been asked to have the games more often and are planning to try this in the early part of 2020. (We will advertise when dates/venues available) We are also available to come to your venue and do a demonstration for your group. (please ring to discuss)
The games are aimed at over 55’s include Boccia, Skittles, bucket ball Parachute and Horse racing games and many more. Groups/individuals are most welcome and games are designed to be played sitting or standing, just come along.
