Youth Memorial Garden

The youth memorial garden committee are delighted to announce that the garden will be opened at 4pm on Saturday August 4th. It will be a day where our community will come together and remember all family and friends. The committee hope everyone who can will join them at the garden which is directly across from the Cultural Centre near the old station house.

Bláth Na Féile

Blath Na Feile will return for the Síamsa Sráide Street Festival Swinford on Sat August 4th at 8pm in The Gateway Hotel.
The winner receives an excellent prize package along with sponsorship to Mayo Rose.

A night not to be missed!

Reeling in the years – one hundred years of life in Swinford celebrated with music, song, dance, poetry, drama and narration presented by Michael Davitt branch of Comhaltas Swinford and Friends in Swinford Cultural Centre on Monday Night August 6th at 8.30pm. This will be a great night’s entertainment so be sure to be there!

Street Parking

The Síamsa Sráide Committee would like to ask for the public’s help and support in not having any vehicles parked on the following streets until the collusion of the Festival. Market Street from 6pm Mon Aug 6th, Main Street & Bridge Street from 9pm Mon Aug 6th.
This is to ensure that the two biggest days of the Festival the Heritage and Fair Day can run smoothly as the streets will be full of market & craft stalls, musicians etc. All help and support to ensure that this can happen would be greatly appreciated. Swinford Indoor Country Market

Swinford Indoor Country Market returns this Saturday August 4th from 9.30 -2pm in the Cultural Centre, Swinford.
This month it will coincides with the Siamsa Sraide Festival, so make sure to check out all the great events planned for the weekend.
The monthly market regularly boast a wide range of locally sourced produce. The Market has a fabulous range of breads, cakes, plants/flowers, vegetables, photography, tasty food, jewellery and a huge range of crafts.
This month again they plan to introduce some new stall holders with excellent products and crafts.
You can relax and have lunch or a coffee in the railway cafe after your shopping.

Safepass Course

Mayo North East is running a Safepass course in the Cultural Centre, Swinford on Wednesday 15th August. Course will run from 8.00am to 5pm

Saturday Evening Mass Choir

The Saturday evening choir is looking for new members. Adults or teenagers with an interest in singing or playing music are invited to join the choir. Call up to the gallery any Saturday evening 6.30pm or contact Marie on 0872805222.

2 Yogalates Classes Run Every Monday In The Cultural Centre Swinford.
First at 1pm Lunchtime Yogalates, this is a 45 minute Class. The second is Yogalates By Candlelight at 7pm and runs for 1 Hour. Both Classes are For Beginners so join anytime and Classes are Pay As You Go. We start with Yoga Poses so you can start To Heal and Breathe Then Pilates For Strengthening Your Core, then we move on To Stretching To Renew Your Muscles and Help with Posture and Finish with Relaxation. Please Bring your own Mat, Blanket and Cushion. This is Good For Chronic Conditions, Anxiety, Arthritis, Asthma, High Blood Pressure & Fatigue To name a few.
