Swinford Indoor Country Market

Swinford Indoor Country Market is on Saturday the 7th of May from 9.30-2pm at Swinford Cultural Centre (beside the new library).

As always we have a busy day planned for the whole family.

Our wide range of lovely stalls are there with a large variety of local produce on offer: veg, cakes, breads, preserves, plants, crafts, jewellery and much more will be available.

A work shop will be running for the kids and we’re supporting the fund for an ISPCA inspector for Mayo. Live music will be playing and you can enjoy it while having a break at The Railway Cafe.

Swinford Tidytowns

Swinford has entered the 2016 Mayo Litter League. The judging of the 2016 Mayo Litter League commenced on Thursday the 21st of April. The competition runs from April through to September. We are asking everyone to help us out in the Mayo Litter League competition. We will continue our regular litter picks on Wednesday evenings at 7 and Saturday mornings at 11. We would ask everyone to keep the footpaths outside their premises litter and weed free. Kilkelly Rd and Park Rd Clean Up

Swinford Tidy Towns invite all residents of both roads to meet at the playground at 7pm on Wednesday 4th May. Bring along any brush’s, spades etc. Litter pickers, gloves and bags will be provided. Please come along and help out.

Swinford Camera Club

 

Swinford camera clubs next meeting is this Wednesday the 4th of May. We meet as usual every 1st and 3rd Wednesday evening at 8pm in the Gateway Hotel in Swinford.

New members as always is very welcome We hold a “monthly theme” here in the club and the theme for May is, “Bridges”. The theme for March was “Flowers” and Aprils theme was “Animals & Birds”. Club members are reminded that you can bring your theme photos in at the next meeting.

Heartfulness, Relaxation and Meditation

Family Carers Ireland

 

Family Carers Ireland Mayo Branch, are looking for cyclists to take part in Giro De Baile on the 31st  July 2016. All registration fees will be covered and sponsorship card provided.

Community Games Swimming

Swinford Community Games swimming will be held in Ballina pool on Saturday 7th May at 6.45pm.

MAYO ASSOCIATION OF SHOTOKAN KARATE NEW CLASS

A New Karate Class for children will start in Meelick Community Centre, Swinford on Monday the 2nd of May from 7.00 to 8.00pm; Adults class will be from 8pm till 9.30pm, new members welcome.

AC 2016 Spring Series

Swinford Athletic Clubs annual Spring Series sponsored by O’Connells Pharmacy will run on Wednesday evenings, commencing in April and continuing into Mayo as follows:

6th April – Killasser 5km

13th April – Meelick 5km

20th April – Bohola 5km

27th April Midfield 5km

4th May – Callow 5km

11th May – Swinford 5km

18th May – Foxford 5km

All runs start at 7pm with registration from 6.45pm at the venues.

Entry fee: €2.00 for members, €5.00 for non members.

After run refreshments.  Everybody welcome to walk, run or jog.

U12’s to be accompanied by an adult.
