Christmas Fundraising Table Quiz
There will be a Christmas Table Quiz in aid of Mayo Women’s Support Services and the Swinford Christmas Crib outside Glebe House, this Friday 2nd January at 9:30pm in the Gateway Hotel. Table of 4 costs €30.
Please come along and test your brain cells after all the Christmas festivities! Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Let’s Get Walking Together
The Mayo Branch of Arthritis Ireland is starting a new ‘Let’s Get Walking Together’ group for people living with arthritis and fibromyalgia in the Swinford and surrounding areas.
Walking is a great way to exercise and is proven to be the best way to manage arthritis pain and help make joints more flexible, as well as being a great way to have a bit of fun.
The first walk will take place in Swinford on Saturday 10th January at 10am starting at the Civic Centre. To book a place call Margaret on 087 4150663

Christmas Lights And Crib
Paddy Campbell has once again switched on his Christmas lights and crib and the lights will remain on until 6th January 2015.
All donations received will go to the Make A Wish Foundation.

Coolegrane Christmas Lights
The Hughes family of Coolegrane, Foxford have once again erected their colourful display of Christmas lighting at their home. The Coolegrane Lights have become known as one of the largest and most colourful displays of Christmas lights in the west of Ireland. As usual a donation box will be placed at their gateway and Kevin Hughes has decided that all proceeds raised this year will be donated to the Roisin Tansey Trust Fund.

Swinford GAA 50/50 Draw
This week’s 50/50 draw was worth €1304 and was won by Ella McManus of Couture Hair Design.
The next draw will take place in Heaneys, Killasser on Tuesday 6th January.

Christmas Lights and Nativity Crib
Everyone is welcomed to visit the Christmas lights and Nativity Crib display at Vincent O’Briens House, Laughtadurcan, Meelick. Follow directions from Meelick Church. All donations equally divided between Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and the Mayo Roscommon Hospice. Contact 087 6830314 for further information.
