The Circus Is Coming To Town
Fossetts Circus will return to Swinford on Monday October 5th & Tuesday October 6th. Shows will be held at 7.30pm on Monday & at 4.30pm on Tuesday at Swinford Amenity Park. Fossetts is Irelands longest running and biggest Circuses. And judging by reports from last year, they put on a fantastically entertaining show. So bring the whole family along next week to what will be a very enjoyable evening at the Circus in Swinford.
Swinford Golf Club Scrap Metal & Clothes Collection
Scrap Metal and Clothes collection on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October from 10am to 7pm each day.
Clothes and Scrap metal can be dropped off at Swinford Golf Club or call Richard @ 086 0516948 or Tom @ 087 2893554 to arrange collection.
Swinford Indoor Market On Sat 3rd October
Swinford Indoor Country Market is on Sat the 3rd of October from 9.30-2pm at the Swinford Cultural Centre. We have a busy day planned for the whole family.
As always our lovely stalls are there and we have a few new faces among them, a Craft Butcher, Woodcrafts, Veg, Cakes, Breads, Preserves, Plants and Crafts, will all be available.
The Railway cafe is there to sit down relax while enjoying live music and having a lovely cup of tea with a slice of cake.
We’ll be looking forward to seeing you all there.

Swinford Tidy Towns
Swinford Tidy Towns are delighted to have been awarded 248 points in this years competition. Swinford Tidy Towns achieved 240 marks in last years competition. Huge thanks to everyone that has helped out throughout the year. Great credit has to go to everyone in the Swinford community. There has been so much work done over the last few years, every little bit helps, no matter how small, it really does make a difference. We are getting so many positive comments back from tourists and people who have been away from Swinford, that notice a huge improvement in the appearance of the town! Full report is up on www.swinfordtidytowns.com The Swinford Clean Street Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday the 23rd October in the Gateway Hotel. Everyone in the community are invited to attend the celebration, more details to follow.

50/50 Draw
This weeks draw for Swinford GAA 50/50 draw was held in Horkans on 29th September and John Moran of Kilkelly Road, Swinford won €670. Envelopes are available in most business premises and online through www.swinfordgaa.ie where tickets can be purchased in bundles of 10/25/52 weeks. Next draw in Bolands on 6th October. Draw envelopes are now also available at 3 for €5.
