No Parking

The Síamsa Sráide Committee would like to ask for the public’s help and support in not having any vehicles parked on Main, Market and Bridge Street from 9pm on Monday August 1st to 9pm on Wednesday August 3rd.

This is to ensure that the two biggest days of the Festival – Heritage Day and Fair Day can run smoothly as the Streets will be full of market and craft stalls, musicians etc.

All help and support to ensure that this can happen would be greatly appreciated.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

This month the Swinford Indoor Country Market has been brought forward to coinside with the Síamsa Sráide Street Festival and will now take place on

Saturday the 30th of July from 9.30-2pm, in the Swinford Cultural Centre (beside the new library).

Our market boasts a wide range of lovely stalls, each bringing us a variety of local produce ranging from fresh vegetables, homemade breads, cakes and a selection of plants, through to a a mixture of hand made crafts and jewellery.
This month there will a short craft workshop running for the children and we are delighted to welcome back some familiar faces to the market.

Whilst visiting the market, why not take a while to sit down and relax at the fabulous Railway Cafe where you can choose from a selection of homemade cakes, quiches and other light bites, whilst soaking up the warm and friendly atmosphere and listening to the traditional live music.

We look forward to seeing you all there.

Robs Trad Sessions

Rob Thornburgh and his fellow musicians will have a Séisiun on July 28th in Quinns.

If you would like to join in or have visitors home from overseas, why not join them for an evening of traditional irish music and song.
