Mayo GAA Club Development Draw
Swinford GAA had one winner in the first Club Development Draw which took place on Thursday 25th June, Kevin Greally of Athlone via Rathscanlon, Swinford. Well done Kevin and thanks to all who supported this year’s draw.
There are five more draws to take place over the next few months and you can find the Full Results of Draw No. 1 on the Mayo GAA website.
All Ireland Club Football Sevens
Swinford GAA has been invited to take part in the 2015 All Ireland Club Football Sevens hosted by St. Jude’s GAA Club, Templeogue in September.
More details will follow at a later date.
Vodafone Swinford
Swinford GAA has entered into an arrangement with the Vodafone shop on Market Street where customers will earn points on certain transactions which will turn into sponsorship for the club when we reach 700 points. All you have to do is mention Swinford GAA when you are paying for your shopping within the store.
Your support for this arrangement would be greatly appreciated.
50/50 Draw
This week’s 50/50 Draw was held in Quinn’s on Tuesday 30th June and Vincent Callaghan of Tullinacurra won €802. Next week’s draw will take place in The Sheepwalk Bar on Tuesday 7th July.
Draw envelopes are available in most local business premises at €2 each or 3 for €5. You can also enter online through the Swinford GAA Store where tickets can be purchased in bundles of 10, 20, or 52 weeks.
There’s a guaranteed winner every week so make sure you are in the drum!

Development Work
Work has commenced on the Robert McCallion Memorial Pitch to keep it in tip top shape for the remainder of the season. This work could not be carried out without the support of the entire community through the 50/50 Draw and other fundraising. Thanks to everybody. Thanks also to the Amenity Park for facilitating us during this development work.
Under 14 Championship
Swinford GAA Under 14’s have got off to a mixed start in this years Championship. They started with a fine home win against Islandeady but this was followed by a defeat on the road to Cill Chomain.
Next up is an away trip to Hollymount-Carramore at 7pm on Thursday 9th July.
Intermediate Championship
Swinford GAA Intermediate Team was defeated by 2 points in Hollymount on the evening of Saturday 27th June and as a result we depart the Intermediate Championship on score difference of 1 point to Burrishoole.
