Under 14 League

The team gave a very good display in their league game against Davitts on Thursday 23rd April and were very unlucky to lose by 2 points.

It’s only matter of time before they click into full gear and get a few wins under their belts. Well done lads, it was a very good game to watch and the same again next week and ye will all be enjoying success.

Minor League Division 2

The Swinford GAA Minor Team lost by four points in what was a very entertaining game in Gilmartin Park, Kiltimagh on Friday night – 24th April. In very wet conditions a late penalty and two points gave Kiltimagh the win by 5-10 to 4-9.

Senior League Division 1C

We had no game last weekend in Division 1C and Swinford GAA Club send their condolences to the family and friends of the late Peter Cosgrove and all involved with The Neale GAA Club.

Senior League Division 1E

In a match that management will learn very little from as Lacken came to Robert McCallion Memorial Park on Saturday evening and played very little football.
A very easy victory for Swinford by 3-9 to 0-2.

Swinford scorers: Michael Walsh 1-1, James Lavin 0-3, Paul McDonagh 0-3, Caoimghin McLoughlin 1-0, Pearse Rowley 1-0, Kevin McDonagh 0-1, Pearse Walsh 0-1.

Under 16 League

The Under 16’s team suffered their first defeat of the league away to Cill Chomain on Tuesday 28th April on a score of 4-11 to 2-8.

They remain top of their division with one league game left.

Club Development Draw 2015

– Last Chance To Enter –

Swinford GAA Club has launched their club draw for 2015. The annual subscription remains at €150. The club draw is again structured this year to ensure each subscriber is getting value for their money and you will be entitled to the following for your €150 investment in the club;

1.  Club Membership – €20

2.  Entry to Swinford GAA Home League games

3.  County Board ticket – €100, which has a prize fund of €90,000 and

4.  An entitlement to purchase an All-Ireland Senior Football Final ticket should Mayo reach the final in 2015.

The officers of the club have decided to restrict the numbers in the draw this year to 130 people in order to limit the ticket demands placed on it should Mayo reach the All Ireland Final in 2015.

Please contact any club officer as soon as possible if you are interested in purchasing a ticket as we expect to sell the allocation within a couple of weeks.
