This Saturday July 5th brings to you the 2nd Swinford Community Indoor Market. We at Swinford Gardening club are very excited about our new Community venture. This new innovation came to life as a result of the Mayo County Council offering us as a local group the use of their state of the art” Cultural Centre” facility.

We at the Gardening Club collectively put our heads together to think of what would benefit and enhance the town’s profile, the result was the monthly Swinford Community Indoor Market. Last month Saturday June 7th saw its launch, and we are delighted to report it was a resounding success on all levels. A wide variety of produce from scrumptious home baking, breads, local honey, jams, preserves, chutneys, fresh fruit & veg, fresh& silk flower arrangements, crafts, sowing, quilting, crochet, knitting, herbs, plants, flowers, exotic  & unusual plants, home spun wool, soaps, jewellery of all types, greeting cards and much much more were displayed proudly against the back drop of this beautiful and historic building.

It was heart warming to watch local people congregate, mingle, take the time to stop and chat over a cup of tea all while buying locally produced high quality merchandise.

The addition of “The Railway Cafe” has significantly contributed towards the community ambience we were striving to achieve. You can relax watch the hussle and bustle, compare purchases and generally have a long overdue ‘catch up ‘over a tea or coffee and selection of mouthwatering fayre. Background music provided by local musicians serves to further enhance the atmosphere. Many thanks to Paddy Joe last month. We welcome Alannah and Megan Thornburgh this Saturday.
Feedback from all our traders was very positive and we look forward to seeing them all again this Saturday,

So in short, this is a once monthly morning not to be missed.
Put it in your diary; FIRST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH!
Support home made and home grown products at the Swinford Cultural Centre.
Doors open at 9:30 am until 1 pm.
But be warned – be early to avoid disappointment.
