Not everyone is guaranteed a trophy at the Swinford Show but you are guaranteed a great day!
Something for everyone at the Swinford Show!
The 27th Annual Swinford Show will be held in a wonderful new 30-acre venue on the Kiltimagh Road, just off the N5, by kind permission of the Heeran family.
This is a great day out for the whole family. Come along to see exhibits of top class cattle, sheep, horses, donkeys, poultry, farm and garden produce, arts and crafts, baking and all kinds of home industries and trade stands. Join in the fun of the potato-picking or turf-footing competitions. Bring your dog to the dog show on the day and share the excitement of the competition.
Children’s Fancy Dress
Admission for children is free and there will be all kinds of entertainment to make this a memorable day out for them, including fancy dress, bonny baby, face painting and all the fun of the fair. Children are encouraged to enter the ‘Junior’ section and win valuable prizes as well.
The top attraction this year will be local group Everyday Solution, the up and coming stars of the music scene, who are wowing audiences all over the west.
If you have never entered an item in the show before, now is your chance. Pick up a schedule of classes at our stand at Siamsa Sráide or in the office at Swinford National School, open from Monday 10th August.
