Pitch Sharing
Swinford Amenity Park is used throughout the year by a large number of groups for different activities; including Swinford Killasser Ladies GFC, our local schools and under age teams from Swinford Gaa Club for gaelic football. Due to the closure of their own pitch for necessary maintenance works, all teams from Swinford Gaa Club will share the usage of Swinford Amenity Park for three weeks, commencing today Thursday. The majority of these activities will involve training on the new pitch at the Kiltimagh Road end of the Amenity Park.
To ensure all games fixed for Swinford during this period are played in Swinford all clubs will work together to make the main pitch at Swinford Amenity Park available for games. Changes to match times may vary slightly, but training times should remain the same as the new training pitch is now available, marked and in use. We ask parents to take extra care and allow for the extra traffic during these three weeks, particularly when younger teams are about; The Amenity Park are currently installing a small car park for the Gaa at the new pitch. Fence work is ongoing to ensure the walkway is kept free of cars.
Club Texts
Please note that the usual number for Club text reminders will be out of service for the next week. Please email us if you have any queries and follow emails for activities as reminders cannot be sent. Check directly with trainers if in doubt.
