Leah Hat Trick puts U16s into Final
Swinford Killasser U16 Girls have qualified for the U16 Championship County Final after overcoming Kiltimagh in the County Semi-final at Swinford Amenity Park on Wednesday. Swinford Killasser led this game throughout and always looked the stronger side. But They were not transferring this superiority onto the scoreboard. And as half time approached on a wet and windy evening, Kiltimagh looked to be still in with a good chance in the game; trailing by just four points after playing into the breeze for the opening half. But three Leah Irwin goals, in the 30th, 35th and 37th minutes, completely undid all the visitors hard work. This put paid to any hopes of an upset and Swinford Killasser ran out deserving winners on a scoreline of 3-12 to 0-04 to qualify for the Clubs sixth County Final of the year. Swinford Killasser will play either Kiltane or Parke in the Final in October.
Sinead Plays in All Ireland Final
Best of Luck to our own Sinaed Loftus; who will play in goals for Scotland in Sundays Ladies All Ireland Junior Final. Sinead, from Cloonaghboy, played in goals for many Swinford successes before emigrating to Edinburgh. She now plays her Club football with Dunedin Connollys. Sundays Final against Louth will throw in at 11.45 at Croke Park, and will be shown live on TG4. Good Luck Sinead from everyone at Swinford Killasser Ladies GFC.
