Indoor Community Market This Saturday
It’s hard to believe but the first Saturday of the month is here again and the Community Indoor Market takes place this Saturday 4th Oct from 9.30 am to 1 pm in the Cultural Centre, Swinford.
Organised by Swinford Gardening Club, the market began on the 7th of June this year and it has gone from strength to strength and it is proving a great addition to the town. Every month there is an array of stands selling fresh local organic veg, flowers/plants, baking, crafts galore, sour dough breads, cheese/olives, honey/jams, jewellery and much more. The Railway Cafe is a welcome addition where you can enjoy tea, coffee, scones and a selection of cakes. Live entertainment is also provided and last month Caitlin, Niamh and Eugene entertained the crowd with beautiful traditional Irish music and Tommy Stenson performed his sean nos dancing.
If that isn’t enough, it is worth the trip alone to experience Swinford’s new cultural centre which is the perfect venue for the market with it’s high ceilings, spacious floor area and landscaped exterior.
The organising committee would like to thank you all for supporting the market so far, please keep it up so they can continue to bring you the best in locally grown produce and locally hand made crafts.
