Kids of all ages love puppet shows

Siamsa Sraide Swinford begins in earnest on Friday 1st August and continues until Wednesday 6th August with a mix of music, fun and activities for all ages.

Again this year the Sunday (August 3rd ) is la na bPaisti – Childrens Day – which has proved to be a very popular day with our younger people over the years .

The fun and games commence at 2 p.m. with a variety of activities ranging from puppet shows (bi-lingual), face painting,  and a bouncy castle – plus very special guests on the day Mickey and Minnie Mouse, who will be more than willing to pose for photos with the kiddies at Scoil Muire agus Treasa.

Come along and get involved in the fun from 2 p.m. onwards

All activities are FREE OF CHARGE

For our childrens programme of events, the fun continues on the streets of Swinford on Monday 4th August.

From 2.30 p.m. we will be showcasing the amazing talent that we have here in Swinford, beginning with an under 14 talent contest  – contestants can register on Main Street on the day.

This will be followed by a fantastic creative dance display, traditional irish music and West African drumming, featuring all the skills learned at the workshops in Scoil Muire agus Treasa during the week.

Many thanks to all the tutors who gave of their time so willingly and enthusiastically to pass on their talents to the children.

The fun continues with an open air Beat on the Street disco where you can show off all those dance moves.

All activities are FREE OF CHARGE
