30th of May 2015

You may have already heard but if you haven’t; Damien Dempsey will play Swinford Cultural Centre on Saturday 30th May with his full band.

Damien has been gigging for nearly 20 years and has released seven albums since his debut ‘They Don’t teach this shit in school’ in 2000. You can read a Hotpress interview with the man himself if you would like to find out more.

Damien sings in the tradition of his fellow Dubs Luke Kelly and Ronnie Drew and his music draws from his own personal experiences and national affairs.

He has won numerous awards including Best Irish Male at the Meteor Awards and his fans include Sinead O’Connor and U2 and he has been described by the Sunday Times as “A phenomenal voice….”

This will be a concert not to be missed and tickets are now available here online at swinfordgaa.ie and in the Gateway Hotel Swinford. Doors will open on the night at 7 pm and the show will start at 8 pm.
