Swinford Welcomes Home Athletes
Yesterday evening Swinford welcomed home sporting heroes Michaela Walsh and Eoghan Lavin from their respective Tournaments.
Michaela who won a Bronze Medal in the Hammer at The European U20 Athletics Championships in Italy and Eoghan who won a Silver Medal at the European Schoolboys Boxing Championship in Romania.
There was a great turn out for our European Medalists, with Midfield Pipe band playing them into town.
Local representative Cllr Michael Smyth, Athletics coaches, Boxing coaches and Family members were among the large attendance.
