Swinford Agricultural Show
The 30th Swinford Agricultural Show day takes place on Sunday September 2nd this year.
The show will be held on Heeran’s farm on the Kiltimagh Rd. The Show office has moved to a new location this year, it is next door to the Chinese restaurant on lower main Street.
The show office will be open from August 27th, for the week leading up to the show day.

Swinford Indoor Country Market returns on Saturday September 1st from 9.30 -2pm in Swinford Cultural Centre.
The monthly market is proud to regularly boast a wide range of locally sourced produce. There is a fabulous range of breads, cakes, plants/flowers, vegetables, photography, tasty food, jewellery and a huge range of crafts.

Learning to speak up for myself
“Learning to speak up for myself” is a Practical Self Advocacy Six week course
Register Thursday 20th September 2018 in The Cultural Centre, Swinford, Co. Mayo. The course runs from 10am-1pm each Thursday.
This course is being funded by Mayo North East Partnership, delivery through Community Participation Network Mayo.

Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann Winners
Congratulations go to John Horkan (Tawna) representing Michael Davitt CCE on winning over-18 Mouth Organ at the resent Fleadh Cheoil.
Congratulations also goes to Eugene Henry (Curryane) representing Seosamh Mac Gabhann CCE Kilmovee on winning the Whistling for 12-15 years, and his brother Kevin Henry also representing Seosamh Mac Gabhann CCE Kilmovee on finishing 2nd in the under 12 Whistling competition. Well done to all three and their great achievement.

This weeks draw was held in Julian’s and Jimmy Fulham of Rathscanlon, Swinford a member of our Under 8 team won €649.

First at 1pm Lunchtime Yogalates, this is a 45 minute Class. The second is Yogalates By Candlelight at 7pm and runs for 1 Hour. Both Classes are For Beginners so join anytime and Classes are Pay As You Go. We start with Yoga Poses so you can start To Heal and Breathe Then Pilates For Strengthening Your Core, then we move on To Stretching To Renew Your Muscles and Help with Posture and Finish with Relaxation. Please Bring your own Mat, Blanket and Cushion. This is Good For Chronic Conditions, Anxiety, Arthritis, Asthma, High Blood Pressure & Fatigue To name a few.
