Happy Swinford man catches Salmon
Danny’s story, I arrived at a spot on the river Moy just below Ballylaghan bridge. The river had just started to drop after a good rise. It was about 8.05am when i started fishing using a black flying C. After spinning for a while I got an almighty tug, this is it, after a good fight I landed a nice fish, weighing in at 11.3/4 LBS.
Diarmuid Mcloughlin catches a 10lb salmon in the river Moy.
Swinford fisherman Diarmuid McLoughlin has been fishing on the river moy, near Swinford, for the past 15 years. On Saturday the 17th of May he landed his largest catch yet, a beautiful 10lb salmon. Diarmuid caught the fish in Ryan’s Pool which is a very popular spot with local fisherman. Well done Diarmuid!
Swinford Fisherman Declan Scanlon catches 12lb salmon in the river Moy
Declan, a butcher by trade, caught this amazing salmon while fishing on the River Moy near Swinford last Saturday evening the 12th May. Well done Declan! His fish was one of the largest salmon caught this year on the river Moy and overall, Swinford fishermen are reporting a great year for salmon fishing.
